TAB BANK
Super Bowl Commercial
Creating a Super Bowl commercial is one of those rare opportunities that immediately gets the excitement running high. It’s not every day a project like this lands in your court. This project with TAB Bank was an incredible experience from start to finish, and a true team effort at every stage. From the beginning, we wanted to lean into comedy and draw a parallel between the good taps we make in life and the laughable bad taps we all make along the way.
Early on, we explored a wide range of script ideas, all centered around relatable “bad tap” moments that feel painfully familiar. We wanted the humor to feel real and earned, not over the top or forced. After a lot of discussion and refinement, we landed on a concept that blended the chaos of a toddler getting hold of a phone with the awkward fallout of an ex suddenly getting flooded with notifications. It’s one of those situations that makes you laugh and cringe at the same time because you’ve either lived it or can imagine it happening all too easily.

NOCEA handled the complete video production from start to finish for this commercial. We had an amazing team, and working with Monica Moore Smith and Elijah Amodt was certainly a highlight of the process. My daughter also played the toddler in this and gave us way more than we could have hoped. Their performances all brought the humor to life in such a natural way, which is exactly what this concept needed. A massive amount of preparation, collaboration, and problem solving went into making these thirty seconds feel effortless. I now know how to intentionally boil water over a stove with ease haha.
Take a look below at some of the fun behind the scenes for this one. We had fun writing the script, producing, directing, filming, editing, choosing the perfect cast, and finding our locations. Special thanks to Lee’s Marketplace for allowing us to film at their location.
