The Roof Restaurant
The Peak of Utah Cuisine
We partnered with The Roof to create a grand re-opening teaser that celebrates its new chapter inside the historic Joseph Smith Memorial Building. With the space completely redesigned and expanded to twice its original size, we set out to capture every detail from the sweeping architecture and elegant lighting to the artistry of each plated dish.
Our goal was to showcase both the elevated dining experience and the beauty of the renovation, blending food, design, and emotion into one story. The Roof is now one of the largest restaurants in Utah, and this project gave us the chance to highlight what makes it truly special, a timeless atmosphere, incredible food, and a view that never gets old.

Built in 1911, the storied Hotel Utah first opened the rooftop restaurant on its tenth floor in 1914. Over the past century, the restaurant and space has gone by many names, including the Starlite Gardens, The Sky Room, The Garden, and The Roof. The location became a popular, romantic, and open-air dining destination known for unparalleled views and remarkable service. Today, the south side of The Roof Restaurant still has a retractable glass ceiling, reminiscent of the high-class atmosphere of Hotel Utah and nights spent dining under the stars.
